Happy Thursday Everyone:
Well the cool weather is back with no sun shine so it feels much cooler that it is.
My card today is a layout that I cased from Sharon Field. Her card was a Christmas Card. My ladies wanted a wedding/anniversary card so I changed up to be one that could be used for almost any occasion.
I don't know what Sharon used for the Glitter background, she may have used a gold metallic but I did something that I have seen done but had never tried till I made this card. These ladies come every second Wednesday and they are older, one is 82+ I believe, so the shake a little, who doesn't right. Well I thought it would make it easier for them if I applied a strip of adhesive all around the outside of that layer and all they would have to do is dip it in the glitter and there would be no mess or worry. I think it looks great and I will be doing this more often it really gives an nice look to the layers and no mess.
Here's what I used:
Stamps: Friends Never Fade
Paper: River Rock, Whisper White
Whisper White Card Base 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2
Whisper White 4 1/4 x 3 1/2
Whisper White 2 1/2 x 2
River Rock 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 embossed then trimmed to 4 1/8 x 5 3/8
River Rock 4 x 3 1/4 embossed with Elegant Lines and trimmed to fit white layer
River Rock 3 x 2 1/2 piece with glitter
River Rock 2 3/4 x 2 1/4
Ink: Gold Encore
Accessories: Dazzling Diamonds glitter, Snail Adhesive, Elegant Lines and Lattice embossing folders from Stampin Up. Whisper White ribbon.
Thanks for stopping by

Peggy,
What adhesive did you use to hold the glitter?
Love the idea and would like to do it for a Christmas card.
Robbie
Hi Robbie, I just used our snail all along the perimeter of the rectangle then dipped in the dazzling diamonds. I think it really looks cool. If you use this layout try putting the sentiment from Word Play, Tiddings of Comfort and Joy that was the one Sharon used.
Purrrrrty, purrrrty!!!
