Serene Snowflakes

Hello Stamping Friends:
I had a great day yesterday, it started off with my brother calling to say he and his wife were coming for a visit. This caused me to quickly tidy up the house, a chore I was going to for go for stamping but it was not too bad and did not take to long. Then I realized that I had no treat to go with our coffee, so I quickly when to town ( live in a rural area) and purchased everything to make strawberry shortcake. I was expecting them around 3 p.m. and at 2 p.m. he called to say it was just to cold to travel and was not coming. OH NO. What do I do with all this strawberry shortcake stuff. I have been doing weight watchers and I sure did not want this stuff around for several days. So I called up my daughter and told her to come over and I feed it all to them. It was good to see it all gone, there are just some things that are to easy to eat.

So the rest of my time was spent stamping, this is the first card I did. My card base is 5 1/4 x 4 1/4 and I used Basic Grey for it. I had a scrap piece of a pearlized card stock so I decided to emboss it with a embossing folder I had with snowflakes on it. I then tied the silver cord from the Holiday Mini and spread it out like in the picture. I stamped and embossed the largest snowflake from Serene Snowflakes three times . Cut one out completely, the other centre from another and the third I left on the white card stock and cut it out with a die from Nestabilities.

I layered these one on top of the other using dimensionals.

The greeting was from a previous hostess set. I stamped it in Silver Encore Ink and put dots in the scallops after I had punched it out with the scallop oval punch from Stampin Up. Applied it using deminsionals as well.

Hope you like it.
