Today is my Birthday, yesterday I took myself out for a little Birthday shopping. I was having a bit of trouble coming up with a card for Jake. Jake is a good friend of ours who is going to be 65 on Saturday. It would seem that I don't own many masculine stamps. The only other one I have I gave him last year.
In my mind, I already had the dog and boot image from For Father as my focal point, but I did not know what to put it with. I had been wanting the Nestability Labels 3 so I put that in my cart, so now I had my center image figured out.
As I was browsing through the embossing folders I saw the Fleur De Lis folder and quickly dismissed it. As I was browsing around the store I spotted copper foil on a card that they had on display. Well what do you know, the Fleur De Lis and was it outstanding! I now knew how I was going to finish Jakes' card.
I already had some copper card stock on hand, purchased the copper foil and embossing folder and here is my card.
