Mojo Monday 140

Hello Stampin Friends:

It is time for the Mojo Monday sketch. I know its Tuesday but you got to give a girl a chance to think of what to stamp right.

On one of the yahoo groups that I am one a lady had said how she found Razzleberry Lemonade DSP hard to work with. I haft to agree with her on some of the papers, there are several that I really like. But in my endeavours to use my paper up I decided to pull out some of this DSP to use for the Mojo Sketch. I sometimes find that if I alter the paper some how it takes away what I may have not liked about it. For this card I decided to sponge the edges and paper pierce around each section of DSP. I also chose to use a color that was not in the paper for my matting.

I think it turned out great, I do not really see the orange colored paper that I sponged with Dusty Durango and the strip pattern that did not really appeal to me now has a more rusty appearance that goes well with the Dusty Durango.

I used Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Bravo Burgundy markers on the flourish stamp from Elements of Style which also drew attention away from the orange at least in my opinion.

Here is my take on the sketch:

Recipe:

Stamps: Elements of Style

Ink: SU Markers Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Bravo Burgundy, Dusty Durango, Black

Paper: DSP Razzleberry Lemonade, Whisper White, Dusty Durango

Accessories: Paper Piercing

Thanks for stopping by.
