Animal Stories

Hi Everyone,

I decided to do some challenges today. This is the first one. This challenge was posted by Mary Jo Price Williams and the challenge was to use the stamp set called Animal Stories. This was a very timely challenge for me as we have a new member of our church called "Solomon". I have not seen him as yet but his parents are beautiful people and I am sure that he is just as handsome as his Dad.

I used a layout that Sandi McIvor used on one of her latest cards.

Sorry the picture quality is not very good.

My card base uses Mellow Moss and the dimensions are 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.

The next layer uses Always Artichoke and the dimensions are 4 x 5 1/4.

The next layer uses DSP from Tall Tales and the dimensions are 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 and I sponged the edges with Mellow Moss.

The vertical panel used Crushed Curry card stock and another piece of DSP from Tall Tales.

The square uses Always Artichoke and it is 2 7/8 x 2 7/8 and the DSP is 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 I added for yellow brads from the Soft Suttle brad collection.

I stamped the elephant twice and cut them out. I cut the head off the second elephant and layered it on top of the first one to give it some depth.

The tag is made up of a large oval punch of Always Artichoke and a Mellow Moss punched out of the scalloped oval punch. The sentiment was first stamped with the tree from Forest Friends in second generation ink (that is stamped first on scrap paper then stamped onto to piece you want to use). Then I stamped the Hello Baby with Chocolate Chip ink. I put Mellow Moss dots around the oval.

I placed a piece of Chocolate Chip Ribbon underneath the sentiment.

Thanks for looking.

Peggy this is so cute. I am so glad you were able to play along with my challenge--my last name is Price-Williams though, not quite as talented as the other, lol. Thanks so much for playing your card is just adorable. I am sure they will love it.
