Praying For You

A friend of ours is in the hospital with a tumor that is surrounding her organs in her stomach. The Doctors are not sure what to do as so many organs are involved.

So my card today is for Ginny.

Matthew 17: 19-20----

19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?”


20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. 21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”

Mojo Monday Sketch

Hello Stamping Friends:

Today's card is made using the Mojo Monday sketch. I also incorporated the Late Night Stampers Challenge 42 into it as well. The challenge for the Late Night Stampers was to use Old Olive, Ruby Red and Really Rust.

Here is the Mojo Monday sketch.

And here is my card.

I used Old Olive for my card base. I stamped the branch image with Versa Mark. Ruby Red strip is cut at 1 1/2 x 5 1/2 then punched with the scallop border punch. I died the Kraft ribbon with Really Rust by sponging on the color.

I used the rock and roll technique on the tree using all three colors. I layered this piece on a piece of Really Rust.

I used the SU markers on the sentiment and punched it out with the large oval punch, sponged the edges with Really Rust. I added the dots around the edge with the SU Marker.

Our Daily Bread Scriptures

Hi again, wow what a day. As well as being a stamper I manager a small co-operative cable tv system. Cable went out yesterday for some reason. I have had soooooooooo many calls. I wish I could tell them all to come and stamp and forget TV. LOL

It would be much better for them, don't you think? I like TV too but there is more to life than TV. Anyway enough belly aching.

I have never made a card with a cut out before so I thought I would give it a try. Turned out not to bad. Very simple but elegant.

I am not sure how others line things up so they come out in the cut out section perfectly, but I drew a light pencil mark around the oval cut out and then used the Stamp ma Jig to be sure I would stay in those lines. I also inked up the scripture and used the stamp ma jig to position it as well. I should mention that I checked where the verse would sit on the flower branch and saw that if I omitted one leaf branch it would fit correctly. Using the stamp ma jig is a great time/paper saver, as you can see were your images are going to go before you mess up your good card.


At my copic certification course I was given a couple of the Spicia Pens. They are really something. I first thought that they were just like the other glitter pens out there but no way, they are way cool. One of my pens is colorless, so what ever color you put it on it stays the same color. You can't see it in the picture but I put the pink one I have in the flower centers and the colorless one on the petals. It gives it a very pretty sparkle.

Our God is a awesome God, isn't he. I had made that card for a friend that is starting a new ministry in our area. My husband and I wanted him to know that we support him in his endeavours to spread God's word.

The card I am sharing today is for our Pastor who is battling some issues of his own and we wanted him to know that we care.

Hi Stampers,

I have been waiting to use this set for some time and today was the day. I love this set so much "Thoughts and Prayers" that I have lovingly looked at it each day just waiting for the right time to use it.

The sentiments that come with it are so awesome.

I use a card base of Chocolate Chip, I cut out a top note using Pink Pirouette. The branch was colored with Stampin Up Markers. The colors I used were Regal Rose and Always Artichoke. I also sponged the edges of the top note with Regal Rose.

When I stamped the Happy Mothers day I first inked it in Regal Rose then I tapped it into Chocolate Chip you may not be able to see it but it kinda has a pink/brown modeled look to it. I also had pressed a little bit to hard and got a line over the "ers" so I had to add another flower to cover it. It doesn't look to bad. I punched to small very small butterflies sponged the edges with Regal Rose and added two rhinestones to each butterfly. I had this bow made from some previous adventure and thought it looked ok too.

On the inside I layered a piece of white card stock 4 x 5 1/4 and inked up the stamp again stamped once on scrap paper then onto the card stock for a soft look. Sorry about the poor picture quality I have done something to my camera and I just can't seen to get good pictures any more. Thanks for looking and thank you for all the comments I love to read them.
