Masculine Birthday Card

Hi everyone:

I think spring has finally arrived. I have been busy getting my outdoor work done. I decided not to plant real flowers this year because the sun is so hot were I would like them so I just planted faux ones. They have fooled a few people so I guess they look ok.

I am happy to report that my daughter has finalized her house deal and they should be here in about 4 1/2 weeks. I will be counting each and everyday till they are here. Now if my son could find work here and move that would be so awesome as well.

I have not been stamping much I just kinda lost my mojo as they say. But I have some classes to get ready for so I thought I had better get my fingers inky as Sandi would say.

I have been playing around with the sponge daubers and wanted a different look for the train in the Happiness is a Journey stamp set. I think alot of folks use the spectrum pads and the brayer for this look but I don't have any so I thought I would see if I could do something similar with the daubers.

As it turns out I really like how the Almost Navy kinda looks like sky, the Really Rust looks like maybe mountains LOL and the Always Artichoke looks like grass. What do you think?

I used three circle punches, 1 1/4, 1 1/2, 1 3/4 sponged the edges and paper pierced around the last one. The paper piercing doesn't show up well in the photo but it looks great in real life.
