Contempo Christmas 4

Hello Everyone:

Personally, I am glad that summer is coming to an end. I do not know where the time has all gone. It was busy, but apart from a few things I don't know what I was doing. LOL

I am looking forward to getting back into a routine, notice I said "a routine" I am the Queen of procrastination. It is time to plan my classes, get my body back to Curves and all of the other things that we must do in life.

I had a great time at a Scrapbbooking Crop I attended yesterday with my friend Lil. About half way through the crop the lady sitting across the table asked me if I lived on Marjorie Street. Well I did and it turned out she had lived just a few doors down when we were kids. Now I am 60 years young now how she remembered me from way back then I do not know. How cool is that. I also got to see some friends I had not seen in awhile and was sad to hear that one of them had Cancer but is hopefully in remission now. We really must be thankful for our health.

The card I am sharing today is the last one for the Stamp a Stack I am holding on the 18th of September. If you are interested in attending please let me know.

I again used the new embossing folder Northern Flurries on the Cherry Cobbler. I added strips of Old Olive to the DSP. I layered the stamped image on Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler. In the little diamond like shapes on the Christmas tree I put dazzling diamonds as you can see in the close up picture.

To color the tree I used the Stampin Up markers, Old Olive, Yo yo Yellow and Cherry Cobbler.

Hope you have enjoyed these cards. Thanks for stopping by.

Contempo Christmas 3

Hi Again,

I have returned home from my visit to my son's home in Medicine Hat, Alberta. I have not driven that far in many years, so I was a little worried that I may not be able to do it in one day but I did, both ways.

I had my co-pilot with me along with my 90 year old neighbour. We had great weather and a wonderful visit. I spent alot of time shopping with my son, he took me everywhere till my feet hurt.

I did however really miss my stamp room. I know I don't post everyday but I do stamp almost everyday and my first day home was no exception.

This card uses the new embossing folder from Stampin up called Northern Flurry. The card itself is pretty self explanatory. Card stock and ink colors are Whisper White, Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler.

Thanks for stopping by.

Contempo Christmas 1

Hi Everyone,

My last post spoke of how hot it is here, now it has changed to cloudy and a little cooler. I don't mind that and even the rain has not been that bad. It is just so much nicer to be cool rather than hot.

I have been working with a new Stampin Up stamp set called Contempo Christmas. It is a small set #120594 Clear Mount and sells for $14.95.

The cards over the next few days will be using this set. So for a few dollars you could make alot of cards just by changing up the designer paper, as it is two sided, so you could make the same card over and over just turn the paper over. How cool is that!

Recipe: All Stampin Up Products I stamped the Merry Christmas Sentiment and then added the image from Tiny tags in Old Olive and colored the centre of the flower with Cherry Cobbler marker. It is hard to see here but it is there.

Stamp Set(s): Contempo Christmas, Tiny Tags

Ink: Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler

Paper: Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Jolly Holidays DSP

Accessories: Ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds, 2 1/2 circle punch.
