Because I Care Thank You

Hello,

I am incredibly thankful today. We finally have decided on what kind of gazebo we are going to build, and we even got our approval from the Condo Board. We still have to get the building permit stuff but the Condo board is the first hoop and we should be good to go.

My Stampin Up order just arrived so I have a few new goodies to play with. Finally, the weather is gorgeous so who would not be happy.

Oh and my card today is a Thank you hum, how about that!

Ok some details about this card, I layered my focal image on a piece of whisper white that was embossed with the Lattice Folder. I had this doilie that I had taken from a sandwich that I was served because I thought to myself I could use that someday, well it is someday today. I tucked the doilie under the peice of Night of Navy and placed this on the embossed piece.

I used my nestabilities die to cut my scallop  circle and then cut the stamped image with a circle nestabilitiy. I colored the image with markers and stamped the Thank You at the bottom.

Stamping 411 SSC190 Challenge

I had the pleasure of having my grandson over today. He wanted to know what I use the sponges for. So I showed him and he made this lovely page, don't you think. I am kind prejudice because I just think he is so cute and cuddly, I just want to hug him all the time. So glad he lets me.

 This is the sketch for the Stamping 411 challenge.

This is my take on the sketch. I used my Color Coach from Stampin up to choose the colors to go with the Rich Razzleberry. I would never have thought to pair Early Expresso with Rich Razzleberry but it looks fantastic to me.

 

The only Rich Razzleberry ribbon I had was the retired polka dot ribbon. I stamped the flower in Rich Razzleberry then stamped it slightly off in Sahara Sand to give it a shadow look. I use the little border stamp from Because I Care and added the smallest pearls inbetween the little flowers on the border.

Just Because, I Care

Well I can not complain about the weather anymore, we have had two gorgeous days IMO some may say it has been cool, but I prefer cool to hot. The sun has been out and that makes me a happy girl.

My card today is from the set Because I Care. I remember when I first got this set my thoughts were " What am I going to do with this!" my mind was blank at the time but now it has been put into gear and I have come up with a very nice card.

I did use my nestabilities for the scallop rectangle as I could not make one with any of my border punches to fit the size of my stamped image. I used sponge daubers to color the flowers and then took my Marina Mist and Pear Pizzaz markers and shaded some of the flowers in. Then I added some gold shimmer paint from Stampin Up of course to the centres of the flowers. I also used it on the sentiment on the little flowers and dots.

Now here is a tip I am sharing, did you know that you can color your white pearls from Stampin Up with our markers to make them any color you want. Well, that is exactly what I did on my pearls. So cute.

I stamped the image and then used the Stampin Up Texture Plate Backgrounds to emboss the stamped piece then stamped a second flower and colored it as mentioned above.

Crumb Cake was my card base cut 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
Pear Pizzaz card stock used for the scalloped rectangle
Black rectangle was cut 2 7/8 x 3 5/8 approx.
Whisper White was cut 2 5/8 x 3 3/8 approx.

Ink: Pear Pizzaz, Marina Mist, Black

Accessories: Pearls, Markers, Crochet Ribbon, Sponge Daubers, Demensionals, Mover and Shapers Die.
