Christmas in July

Hi Friends,

I don't know about you but I love Christmas and believe it or not it is only 5 3/4 months away. I am so looking forward to Christmas this year because I will have all my family with me. I have been waiting for a long time to have all of us together.
While I can not show you the new Mini Catalogue I can tell you that you will love it I want one of almost everything. But I will have to be satisfied with what my budget will allow. Whaaaaaaaaa

In my box of new toys I got the stamp called Dasher. I loved the reindeer in Winter Post from last year and I was thrilled to see a single reindeer stamp in the new catalogue. I also got the Movers and Shapers Sizzex die cut and had to play with it. It may take a few trys to get it just right.

So I made this card using those two new products.
Sorry, the picture is not that great. I stamped the Reindeer in Chocolate Chip Craft ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I cut it out as a oval and layered it on Chocolate Chip. I sponged edge of the white card stock with Real Red.
I used Versa Mark and stamped the snowflakes from the Hostess set Christmas Punch on the front of the card. I cut out the shape with the Movers and Shapers die. Inside the die cut area I used another stamp from the Christmas Punch set. I wanted some more color so I added two swirls from the Swirl die cut.
Thanks for visiting. God Bless

New Products

Hello friends,

I am so glad I have Internet friends. I got a new box of goodies from Stampin Up today and thought I would do some stamping. My upline is trying to convince me that I should do some swaps for convention but I just don't know if I want to.

Ok, on to my first card. I will post the second one tomorrow. This set is called C is for Cat. I love dogs and cats and I also purchased the D is for Dog will do a card in the very near future with the dog.

I inked up the new wheel P is for Paw with Versa Mark and rolled it on Soft Suede. Sponged the edges also with Soft Suede. I used a scrap piece of Dusty Durango and stamped the paws and the fish randomly on it, sponged the edge with Dusty Durango.

The C is for cat was stamped in Dusty Durango and layered on a piece of Chocolate Chip card stock. The cat was stamped in Soft Suede, I used some SU Fine Cosmo Glitter "Celery" for the Collar and Tag on the cat and layered it on Chocolate Chip.

The sentiment was layered first with Dusty Durango and then Chocolate Chip.

Thanks for looking. See you tomorrow. God Bless

RAIN, RAIN GO AWAY

Hi again, glad this day is over. My daughter is having problems with her new house. There is a water pressure problem that has resulted in no water. Well as you can imagine she is not a happy camper and I can't blame her.

I had some time to stamp today as the weather is the pits. Rain, rain go away. I wanted to try a single color ink card and decided on black and white.

I used the same stamp set as my last card Wings of Friendship. I like how it turned out.

Thanks for looking.

LEVEL 2 HOSTESS SET - WINGS OF FRIENDSHIP

Hi Everyone, thank you for your concern about my absence. I am fine just totally overwhelmed with life. I had been ill, then I flew to Edmonton to bring my grandchildren back so that their parents could get things at their end squared away for the move.

I had a wonderful time with them. You know the saying that children keep you young is so true. I think I got more fresh air in that week than I have in the past two years. We were at the beach everyday, something most of us living here just take for granted. Their parents arrived last week and I tried to be as much as a help as I could. I even held and walked the horses while they put up the electric fence. For those who do not know me that was a accomplishment, I am very nervous around large animals but they were very good with me even gave me a nice rub to indicate I was ok.

So now that my stamp room is back to being a stamp room instead of a bedroom I am slowing getting some stamping down.

My card for today uses the Hostess Set Wings of Friendship. This card was made for a challenge on Late Night Stampers. It had to be a different size that the regular cards we make. The size of my card was 6 1/2 x 5.
